The service
cpcp is a file and text transfer tool with no account. A sender submits content and receives a 6-digit pickup code; the recipient enters that code on another device to retrieve it.
Text is limited to 64KB; a single file to 100MB; one parcel holds at most 20 files and 200MB in total; each parcel can be claimed successfully at most 10 times.
Eligibility
You must be able to form a binding contract in your jurisdiction; if you cannot, do not use the service.
Acceptable use
Do not use cpcp to send or share unlawful content, do not infringe the rights of others, and do not treat it as long-term storage, backup, or a content distribution service.
- No child sexual abuse material, malware, or phishing content.
- No sharing of someone else's private material without consent.
- No bypassing rate limits, scanning pickup codes, or interfering with the service.
Your content
You keep all rights to the content you submit. You allow cpcp to temporarily store, transfer, and delete that content only to provide the service.
You must have the right to submit the content, and you are responsible for activity that happens through your pickup code.
Pickup codes and the security boundary
The pickup code is the only credential. cpcp is not end-to-end encrypted, and the service can access content while it is in transit and in temporary storage.
Do not use it for passwords, keys, identity documents, medical or financial records, or other sensitive content. Anyone who obtains or guesses the pickup code can retrieve the content.
Expiry and deletion
Parcels expire after one hour by default. Expiry is checked on each request, a scheduled job cleans up every minute, and R2 files may have up to 10 minutes of physical-deletion grace.
After expiry, text, files, and parcel metadata are deleted together and cannot be recovered. Do not rely on cpcp for long-term storage.
Free service and availability
cpcp is free and runs on a best-effort basis. There is no SLA and no promise of fixed availability or response time.
The service may be paused or limited because of abuse, capacity, or maintenance.
Abuse handling
We may limit or block abusive behavior, and we may inspect related content when investigating abuse or complying with the law.
Disclaimer
The service is provided as is. To the extent permitted by law, there is no warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.
You decide whether content is appropriate to send through the service.
Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, cpcp is not liable for indirect loss, lost data, or lost profits.
Mandatory consumer rights under your local law are not limited by these terms. If local law gives you more rights, local law prevails.
Changes
These terms may change as the service changes. Continued use means you accept the updated terms; material changes update the date on this page.
